You will receive a statement each month showing your account activity and service charges, if applicable. You may elect to receive an electronic eStatement.

Account Analysis
The Account Analysis summarizes your monthly balances and account activity and details the exact amount of excess funds available or additional funds needed to fully cover service charges. Customers have the flexibility to compensate Village Bank in balances, fees or a combination of the two. Village Bank gives credit for balances kept in a Commercial Analysis Checking account. These balances receive an earnings credit, which can be used to offset service charges. The earnings credit rate is determined at the sole discretion of Village Bank.

This account is designed for businesses or organizations that have low checking activity, defined as handling less than 500 transaction items per month. No interest is paid or earnings credit received on Village Business Checking accounts.

Service Charges

*ACH or Debit/ ATM Card transactions are exempt from transaction count.

There is no charge for the first 250 items per calendar month. These items include credits, debits, deposits, deposited items. There is no charge for items 251 to 499 with a $2000 daily balance. If the balance falls below $2000 any time during the monthly statement period items 251 to 499 will be $0.25 each. Items of 500 or more will be $0.25 each regardless of account balance.

Village Business Money Market Checking is available to any business or organization.

Fee Schedule
Minimum opening deposit   $100.00
There is a $10.00 monthly maintenance charge, which may be changed at the discretion of Village Bank. This charge can be avoided by maintaining a daily ledger balance of at least $2,500.00.

Transaction Limitations
There is no regulatory limit on the number of withdrawals and deposits you may make at any Village Bank office or Village Bank ATM. However, federal regulations allow only 6 preauthorized or telephonic (including computer) transfers each monthly statement period to another of your accounts or to third parties. Transfers may be made by check, draft or similar order each monthly statement period. There is a $12 fee for each third-party payment of transfer exceeding the legal limit. If these limits are exceeded 3 times in 12 months, you will be notified by Village Bank that the account must be closed and that the funds must either be transferred to another type of account or be paid to you.

Interest
Village Business Money Market Account interest rates may be adjusted daily at Village Bank discretion. There are six interest-bearing rate tiers based on the following daily collected balances:

Up to $4,999.99
$5,000.00 to $9,999.99
$10,000 to $24,999.99
$25,000 to $49,999.99
$50,000 to $99,999.99
$100,000 and up

Interest compounds daily and is calculated each day based on your collected balance.The interest will be posted to your account monthly.

Account designed for public entities and not-for-profit organizations that have a 501(c) designation. No earnings credit is received on Village Bank Non Profit Checking accounts. The first 750 items on the Village Bank Non-Profit checking are free. Items in excess of 750 will be charged according to the schedule below.

Interest
Interest is compounded daily based on your collected balance. The interest will be posted to your account monthly. Interest rates on Non-Profit Checking may be adjusted daily at the discretion of Village Bank.

Interest bearing account that an attorney or law firm maintains for commingled client funds that are nominal in amount or held for a short term.

Interest
Interest is compounded daily based on your collected balance. The interest will be posted to your account monthly and remitted to Legal Services of Virginia. Interest rates on IOLTA Accounts may be adjusted daily at the discretion of Village Bank.

Business Savings
Business Savings is available to any business or organization.

Service Charges
The minimum amount required to open this account is $50. By maintaining a $200 minimum daily balance, you will avoid the $3 monthly maintenance charge.

Transaction Limitations
Although you may incur a fee for excessive withdrawals, there is no regulatory limit on the number of withdrawals and deposits you may make at any Village Bank office or Village Bank ATM. However, federal regulations allow only 6 preauthorized or telephonic (including computer) transfers each monthly statement period to another of your own accounts or to third parties. Transfer may be made by draft or similar order each monthly statement period. There is a $3 excessive activity fee for each third-party payment or transfer exceeding the legal limit. If these limits are exceeded 3 times in 12 months, you will be notified by Village Bank that the account must be closed and that the funds must either be transferred to another type of account or be paid to you.

In accordance with federal regulations, Village Bank reserves the right to require at least seven (7) days notice prior to withdrawal or transfer from your Business Savings account.

Interest
Interest rates on Business Savings may change daily based on current rates paid on similar investments including government securities and money market funds.

Interest is calculated each day on your ledger balance minus any uncollected funds. Interest is compounded daily and is posted to your account monthly.

Statements
You will receive a monthly statement if your Business Savings account has Automated Clearing House (ACH) activity; otherwise, you will receive a savings statement each quarter that your account has activity other than interest payments. You will receive an end-of-the-year statement regardless of whether your account has withdrawal or deposit activity.

*Business Checking accounts become dormant after 12 months of no activity. Business Savings and Money market accounts become dormant after 24 months of no activity.

Debit Card transactions performed at non-Village Bank ATMs are subject to charges assessed by ATM owner.
